Where ChargeDekho's data comes from

Sources

  • Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) public charging station list, data to 26 October 2025: 39,507 rows, 28,223 distinct sites after removing repeats. Gives coordinates, operator, connector type, count and rating in kW.
  • Operator locators, read 18 September 2026: Tata Motors' charging locator (3,913 stations across ten networks), Statiq's public station backend (7,322 stations with connector-level power, price and availability), ChargeZone (502), Zeon (485), Ather Grid (4,020 points), Ola Hypercharger (95), Battery Smart partner map (129).
  • Government lists: the Delhi Government charging station list (891 points).
  • Google Maps, through the Places API: opening hours, phone, rating and review count, review excerpts and, where Google has it, connector availability.
  • Geography: Department of Posts PIN code boundaries (data.gov.in, GODL), Census 2011 district boundaries (DataMeet, CC BY 4.0), OpenStreetMap National Highway lines (ODbL) for the highway tags only.

Merging

Records from every source within 60 metres of each other are treated as one site. At a site, each charge point operator is one station: a Statiq-listed BPCL charger and BEE's BPCL row become one station operated by BPCL and listed by both. Gun counts are the highest figure any source gives; power is the highest rating listed.

Labels

  • Listed: the station appears in a public source on the date shown. Nothing more is claimed.
  • Price: the per-unit rate as listed by the named source on the named date. Network medians use only stations that list a price. A listed price of zero is shown as "Not listed", because sources use zero for offline chargers.
  • Status: the latest driver report on this site in the last 30 days; otherwise the operator's own availability snapshot on the date shown; otherwise none.
  • Not listed: no source publishes that fact.

What is never shown

Home addresses that appear in the register as charging points are shown at PIN-code level only, without a page. Operator staff phone numbers and email addresses are not published. Google reviews are quoted as short attributed excerpts with a link to the original; ChargeDekho does not mark them up as its own ratings. Photos and ratings that belong to a network's own app are not reproduced.
